Mixtapes enable artists to release pre-album promotional songs over the internet and gain international exposure. Our wish is for you to support the artists you like. If you enjoy something on a mixtape, make sure to go out and buy the retail album when available.

Our mixtapes come from the artists themselves, and the DJs who mix them. If for any reason, an artist, label or DJ would not like their mixes on the site, simply contact us using the form on this site.

It's their way of getting themselves heard to labels, and to generate a buzz before a retail album is released in stores. They are to be used for promotional purposes only. We do not charge for any mixtapes on this site. They are free to members. The fee for membership is simply to cover bandwidth and other administrative costs.

With that said, we DO respect the rights and wishes of the artists and/or labels, and will promptly remove any mixtapes from the site upon request.

Yes. No matter what brand name of mp3 player you have, the mp3's will play in your mp3 player. You can also burn audio CD's to preview the mixtape in your CD Player.

The MP3's are encoded in Variable Bit Rate (VBR) which means they automatically encoded to the highest quality necessary, while maintaining a nice small data size. The average mixtape is under 100 MB (Megabytes).

We are currently working on the official mixtape submission form, but for now simply use the contact us page to email us your mixtape, including applicable Covers and tracklists.

Remember -- If you are not the copyright holder, or a DJ who has full permission from the artist or copyright holder, you may not submit your mixtapes. Also all mixtapes submitted, are to be reviewed first, so please only bring your A-Game when submitting mixtapes.

Yes. We only use Payment Processors that are extremely user friendly, and as such any payment option you see on the sign-up page will have multiple payment options including Any Major Credit/Debit Card OR Bank Account. Bank account transfers usually take 2-3 business days to clear, so it is not quite as instant as Credit Card payments.

Simply create a free account at one of our Payment processors we have available and than you can sign-up at blocktapes, selecting and checking out at the Payment processor you have an account with. Checking out using a Credit Card activates your membership in 2-3 MINUTES.

Simply login to your member control panel ** Click Here **, select the membership plan and checkout at the selected Payment processor, just like you did when you originally signed up.

No matter what payment processor handles your subscription, you can always login to their site and manage your payments, funds etc. If you need us to help you, simply contact us. We can also cancel subscriptions from our end upon request.
